"These were the first sheep to graze in the lower Powder River region so far as I know. Billie Guthrie and John Ming, old time cowmen of Helena, owned them and Guthrie said to John in my hearing, 'Now you've got to learn to blat and smell like D----blankety sheep or we'll never make a dollar off'n them in a thousand years."
